Fruit encased in delicious, flaky dough



Toast doesn’t always hit the mark in the morning. Sometimes you need a little treat to get you ready for the day. Our Crisp French Toast does just that, without leaving you with a guilty feeling.


32g of sugar swapped for 1 tbsp of honey and the berries sweet taste



270g Unbleached All-Purpose Flour (Additional For Work Surface)

1 tsp Baking Powder

¼ tsp Baking Soda

½ tsp Salt

65g Raisins

8 tbsp Unsalted Butter – Frozen

1 Large Egg

85g Honey

60ml Sour Cream

2 tbsp Skimmed Milk



Turn the oven to 205°C and leave to preheat.

Cover a baking tray with grease proof paper.

Take the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then pour into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until they become one powder.

To ensure a flaky texture, grate the butter into the mix.

Now, use your hands to work the mixture to a crumbly texture.

Add the raisins and stir until they are equally spread.

Using a second, smaller bowl, beat an egg, honey and sour cream to a smooth texture.

Add this to the larger bowl mixture and continue stirring until the contents form a dough.

This may seem too dry, but knead it well together.

Place it onto a floured surface and roll it out so there is a thickness of ¾ inch.

Divide into 8 slices and brush each with milk before placing onto the baking tray. Leave a good amount of room for the scones to expand.

Finally, put into the oven and bake for 15 – 17 minutes.
